On this Throwback Thursday, think back to simpler times when folk music filled the airwaves, Dylan played acoustic guitar, and even the Beatles and the Stones had hits with folk overtones.
Folk aficionados will be happy to learn that in New Haven, Connecticut, folk music is alive and well! Come to Edgerton Park on the New Haven/Hamden border this Saturday, September 6 for the FREE 2014 CT Folk Festival and Green Expo. The Green Expo runs from 11 am through 5 pm; there is folk music ALL DAY and into the night from 11 am through 10 pm. You can see the full music performance schedule here.
The Green Expo will have more than 75 “Green Living” exhibitors, educators, and vendors (including food). I’ll be there representing the UConn Extension Master Gardening Program. The full list is here.
